Lana K. Hoover

Lana K. HooverLana K. Hoover has been acting (up) since birth … as her Mother loves to say, “NO ONE in the family is like Lana.” While living in Azle, Texas for the first 18 years of her life, she did extensive character study, as there are no characters like Azle, Texas characters. You will see them again and again on many stages throughout the Metroplex.

After getting her degree in Theatre from Texas Wesleyan, she married, had two great kids, divorced (a few times) taught theatre for 17 years and now is in business for herself, along with some family members. This allowed her the freedom to once again become the “character(s)”, she always was and remains…. a goof-ball onstage!

She has performed extensively through the Dallas-Fort Worth area at such theatres as Stage West, Circle Theatre, Jubilee Theatre, Theatre Arlington, Greater Lewisville, Denton, Onstage in Bedford, Runway Theatre in Grapevine and others. Some of her favorite “characters” are Bananas in The House of Blue Leaves, Miss Mona in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Sister Butterworth and 5 others in The Book of Liz, Sister Amnesia in Nuncrackers, and The Fairy Godmother in Cinderella.
